When the Father did form you
and sat you upon my breast
He said, I have given breath and life,
now you can do the rest.
And in time I began to nurture you,
I watched you flourish and grow
and how proud I was of these little ones,
Only a Mother could know.
You milked me of my minerals
and dug deep into my core
and caused life to drain from me,
and still you wanted more.
You shot a hole into my protective layer
That surrounded you with love.
And now ultra-violet rays penetrate from above.
My hair of fine emerald that's pleasing to your sight,
you have cut off from me now;
You know this isn't right.
I watched men fall at Wounded Knee,
and Bomb Fire fills my breath.
My very being whispers Peace and Life,
but you have filled me with Cold and Death.
If only a Mother's tender arms could call you back in time,
I would try to teach you about Life,
and once again you'd be mine.
I will understand when the trumpet sounds
and I see the Last One fall.
But this really was not meant to be,
Signed The Mother of you all
