Enchanted evening

Stars above
Twinkling bright
Gentle breeze
Soft moonlight

Enchanted evening

I feel the kiss of autumn
Dancing all around
Hear the rustle of the leaves
As they fall
In hues of color
Softly to the ground

Enchanted evening

If I listen hard enough
Beyond the hooting of an owl
Past the cricket's chirping melody
And a dog's distant howl

If I listen hard enough
I can almost hear God whispering
"This one is for you my child"
