Tumbleweed...
Roll with the wind
Lighting where you may
For soon will come
 A summer's breeze
 To send you once more
 Helplessly on your way

Barren branch...
Bend with the weight of snow
 Sagging lower
 Closer to the ground
  Bending
    Never breaking
Until at winter's end
The ice and snow melt away
  And you rise
   Straight and proud
    Once again

I will not be
  A tumbleweed
   Riding helplessly on the wind

Rather the unbroken branch
  Rising high above the ground
Rising to stand proud
 Once again
