Late one night
I knelt to pray
I cried out to the Lord
"Father I've had a trying day!"

I thought perhaps
He had not heard
For the very next day
Was worse than the first

I cried out louder
(Just in case)
"Please Lord, bring me better days!"

Then I closed my eyes to sleep
And I heard Him!
He whispered to me!

"My child I hear you every day
Even when at times
It doesn't seem that way

I give you trials
But always provide escape
Should your cross become to heavy,
The burden to much to bear

Just say the word
My faithful child,
Say the word
For I am always there."
