Some child’s mother
Died today
For an unknown cause
Her life was ripped away
A man
A father perhaps
Lies buried beneath
Rubble
Paper
And ash
 Some parent
Waits in agony
For news of their child
Praying for one more chance
To see their baby’s smile
  Women lost their husbands
Men their wives
And before this night has ended
Thousands
Will loose their lives
What is it all for?
This theft of God’s precious gift
No matter the cause
It cannot compete
With our sorrow
  Mothers
Fathers
Husbands
Wives
Sons and Daughters
You will all be
Sorely missed
