According to his daughter, Rosemary, Charles was born with
the middlename Thomas. But he had a falling out with his uncle
Thomas J. Megibben,who he got his middle name after, Changed it
to Kimbrough after hisfather and moved to Missouri, where he had
relatives (Shawhans) & friendsof the family (Swopes &
Beattys). In a April 9, 1909 edition of theCynthiana Democrat
Newspaper under death notices states Mrs. C.K.Megibben (using
Kimbrough), died in Kanas City. Visting Mr.& Mrs. J.S.Withers
he meet his wife seven years ago married and lived there forthree
years until her death. She was 29 the daughter of G.B. Beatty
ofKanas City, Missouri. In the 1880 census he was listed under
his fatheras Charles T. Megibben. His 1st wife died of Typhiod
Fever in JacksonCounty Missouri. In 1920 census name looks like
Mcgibben, but he wasliving in Cynthiana Kentucky living at 211
Pleasant St. He was a grocerystore owner in the 1930 census with
his second wife his first born George(from 1st wife) was not with
him. He was living on 305 Givens Avenue,Lexington, Fayette
County, Kentucky. Death info from Kentucky death index1911-2000
vol.18 cert.8690. Found death certificate in Frankfort,Franklin
County, Kentucky, which have his name own for finding
deadinmates. He was working at the Kentucky State Reformatory in
1936.
